NNPC TO INVEST UP TO $100 MILLION IN MAYINE SUGAR PROJECT IN ADAMAWA

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company has agreed to invest uo to $100

million in the proposed Mayine Sugar Project in Adamawa that is meant to produce ethanol.
The project is in its early stages with technical teams from Nigerian National Petroleum Company and the state Government set to meet to further plan the project. The Government is also open to bringing in more investors into the project. In February, the Government announced a $50 billion equity investment vehicle to promote biofuel production.
