THE REALITY OF E-WASTE

It has been gathered that 350,000 mobile phones are being thrown away every day.





Technology is amazing and the conveniences of the digital age are great but the rate of disposability that has come along with it is alarming. People throw away and replace their electronics carelessly just like waste and pollution of all types forgetting that this waste ends up somewhere. The 50 million tons of e-waste generated each year, for example, in 2014 41.8 million tons of e-waste was shipped to developing nations, where it is broken down improperly thereby exposing people and the environment to toxins.

This should help us decide to ignore the invitation of buying a new 'must have' gadget before repairing the old one.
