On Wednesday by 8:00 pm, the issue discussed about on 'the core' was "FLOODING IN NIGERIA; why the recurrence?"

Reasons for the recurrent flooding in Nigeria was deliberated by
Mr. Obi Chidoka, chairman, house committee on environment
Mr. Jide Orintunsin, senior special assistant to the governor of Niger state on media publicity
Dr. Moses Beckley, DG, Hydrological services agency
Mr. Olusegun Ladega, Rep. VGC residents association

Dr. Chidi Onuoha, President, Sustainable Energy Practitioners of Nigeria, Mrs. Priscilla Achakpa, Executive Director, Women Environmental Program, asked for explanation on government policies and effort on how to tackle it?

And Obi Chidoka provided information on the measures being taken by the House of Representative to stop flooding in Nigeria. He mentioned the review of obsolete environmental laws and Mr. Jide Orintunsin suggested the implementation of the environmental laws but Mr. Olusegun Ladega held a different approach.

CLIMATE CHANGE: U.S. CLIMATE POLICY LEADERS RELEASE AMAZON FOREST PROTECTION PLAN

A bipartisan group of former U.S. cabinet officials and chief climate negotiators has come together to build support for the Biden-Harris campaign pledge to protect the Amazon rainforests.  The group has offered concrete policy  recommendations  to Congress and Presidential Special Envoy John Kerry, to whom the task of delivering on this promise will fall.
