GOVERNOR AKINWUNMI AMBODE CLEANER LAGOS INITIATIVE

The Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, who was represented by The Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Adejare at a media workshop on tuesday 1st of August, 2017 has stated that THE CLEANER LAGOS INITIATIVE will kick off next month, September.


He said that the initiative will ensure a cleaner and healthier environment for lagos residents
It will be kicking off with the passage of the Environmental Management and Protection Law 2017, the concession of residential waste collection and procession to a reputable and competent multinational Waste Services Company as well as the transformation of the erstwhile Kick Against Indiscipline Brigade to a more civil Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC).

CLIMATE CHANGE: U.S. CLIMATE POLICY LEADERS RELEASE AMAZON FOREST PROTECTION PLAN

A bipartisan group of former U.S. cabinet officials and chief climate negotiators has come together to build support for the Biden-Harris campaign pledge to protect the Amazon rainforests.  The group has offered concrete policy  recommendations  to Congress and Presidential Special Envoy John Kerry, to whom the task of delivering on this promise will fall.
