NIGERIA'S "GREEN BOND" SET TO FLY

The launch of the government's Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) and signing of the budget has given the Nigeria's "GREEN BOND" wings to fly.



This initiative is focused on funding environmentally focused projects.

Plans being put in place to issue a N150 billion in GREEN BONDS in the next few months.
The success of this initiative was by the collaboration between the Ministry of Environment and Finance.

NOTE: Green bonds are like regular bonds with the difference that they can only be used to fund environmentally beneficial projects.
